CFMOTO CUP - 2ND ROUND

Between the 21st and 22nd of May, the second round of the CFMOTO Cup will be held in Navak, Serbia.

When and where

As part of the Romanian National Road Racing Championship, this round will be composed of two separate races, the third and the fourth one this year, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
Just 50 km away from the capital city of Belgrad, 10 of Romania's most talented Junior Riders will be competing in these two races, on CFMOTO 300SR motorcycles. Navak is a historic location for the history of this competition, as it held the inaugural race back in 2021.

Navak Race Track

With a length of 2,950 meters, the Navak race track is just 236 shorter than Serres Racing Circuit, where the first two races of the year were held. It's a racetrack where the CFMOTO 300SR motorcycles feel right at home given their excellent maneuverability, and it's also a place where riders will see a considerable evolution of their skills after each race.

CFMOTO Cup Leader

Cristian Radu, the 16-year-old rider from Constanta, is currently leading the CFMOTO Cup before the two races in Serbia. His competitive debut was formidable, to say the least. After 1 year of training with the ACSRU Junior Racing School program, which allowed him to get familiar with the CFMOTO 300SR, he managed to win both the races that were held in Greece last month. Even more so, his lap times were sometimes comparable if not better to the results of drivers from the superior Supersport300 category.
"The first double-round in Greece was an amazing experience for me. I already had about 1,000 km of previous riding experience on the 300SR, from during my school year. But this was the first time for me out on a big track, and the first time going up against so many opponents. I was very excited to be given the opportunity of making my professional debut in the CFMOTO Cup. I know that my mother was quite worried about me going into the race, but I was just eager to see how fast I am. After the two race wins in Greece, I want the same thing for the Navak event. Some of my opponents have already ridden this track before, but that only makes me want to win this event even more. Starting with this race I will also have a new partner supporting me - Triton, and I am keen on returning home as the Cup leader".

The Main Opponent

17-year-old Fabian Cojocariu from Bucharest is second overall in the CFMOTO Cup and will be one of Cristian's main opponents during the following race weekend. 
"Last year I made my professional debut in Navak. I was fresh out of a week-long training session on the CFMOTO 300SR, and I couldn't believe that I was finally riding on a big racetrack. I have a bit of street riding experience as well, but I've never been as enthusiastic as I was last year in Serbia. In Greece, I just couldn't overtake Cristian, no matter how much I tried. But I've managed to learn a thing or two during the training session at Targu Secuiesc earlier this month. I hope we're going to have a good race, and I know it won't be easy with 10 riders lining up this time."

Fastest Rider

Darius Boagiu, who had proven to be the fastest rider in the practice session in Greece didn't manage to recover after his crash in Serres. With any luck, he will recover just in time for the fifth and sixth race of the year, scheduled for next month. The complete line-up for Serbia will be revealed soon, and the CFMOTO Cup fans will be delighted to see some of the surprises that have been prepared for them.
