CFMOTO 300SR perfect for both tracks and public roads!
The CFMOTO Cup was created to provide a suitable development space for young, aspiring motorcycle riders (age 12 to 18), with reduced costs and equal opportunities for all participants. The CFMOTO 300SR motorcycle was adapted for track use, by using specific elements such as light fairings, upgraded exhaust, braking, and suspension, and the list goes on. The 300SR has proven to be as user-friendly on-track as it is on public roads. Thus, young graduates from the Junior Racing School quickly adapted to life on the big racetrack.

For the first round of the 2022 CFMOTO Cup, a total of 5 riders will be competing using the 300SR motorcycles. An additional 5 riders will join them for Round 2, which is scheduled for May in Navak, Serbia, thus bringing the total number of competitors and race motorcycles to 10. The young riders that will race in this first event are Ionut Purdea (18 years old, Dej), Cristian Radu (14 years old, Constanta), Fabian Cojocariu (16 years old, Bucharest), Darius Boagiu (17 years old, Drobeta Turnu Severin) and Gabi Ismana (18 years old, Vatra Dornei). All 5 of them are on their first contact with the 3.18 km long race track in Northern Greece.

For Ionut Purdea and Darius Boagiu this is also their first experience riding the track-spec CFMOTO 300SR motorcycle, but both of them put on a strong performance on their first day of training, as they managed to increase their rhythm with every passing lap. All 5 riders will be enjoying the constant support coming from their team-mates, some of which also have a bit of CFMOTO history behind them: Vlad Chivu (18 years old, Buzau - first 300SR podium ever), Valentin Polexici (18 years old, Ploiesti - CFMOTO Cup Champion in 2021), Alex Pahome (16 years old, Cluj - CFMOTO Cup podium in 2021), Luca Purdea (18 years old, Dej) and the list goes on. On the first day of training, even Andy Brunner (67 years old, Bucharest - ex-Dakar rider) tested the CFMOTO 300SR, so that he could get familiar with racing on a motorcycle again, after several years of competing in Global-Level Downhill events on a bicycle.

The first official training session starts on Friday, April the 8th. On Saturday and Sunday, the riders will compete in two separate races, fighting for the first points of a season built on 5 different rounds, split between Serres (Greece) and Navak (Serbia). More photos, information, and even a few short live broadcast sessions will be available within the next few days.
