TRAINING DAY 1

After 2 days of testings on the circuit in Serres, Greece, today the ACSRU Racing riders had their first official day of training in the National Speed Motorcycle Championship and the Eastern European BMU Championship. The weather was perfect for the activity, and the pilots had 3 training sessions each before qualifying.

Dueling with the bigger class

The CFMOTO Cup riders got out on the circuit at the same time as their bigger class colleagues, Supersport300, and managed to prove several times that not everything comes down to the power of the motorcycle in duels with them.

Extremely good results for a first timer

Darius Boagiu (17 years old, Drobeta Turnu Severin), the 300SR Racing driver from the CFMOTO Cup, managed to prevail in all 3 timed sessions in front of his colleagues, although he is at the first participation in a speed motorcycling competition. His previous experience on 2 wheels in the enduro area spoke for itself, making him one of the favorites to win this first round. After completing 34 laps of the track, the best time recorded by Darius is 1: 43.522 - an extremely good result in the given conditions.

The second pilot of the team is Cristian Radu (14 years old, Constanta). Cristian started speed motorcycling in the ACSRU Junior Racing School program in 2021 and currently has about 800 km of active circuit. It is his first official competition and for the first time on a big circuit. The best time recorded today on the 3,186 km circuit is 1: 45,791. Although he had a small incident in the third training session, he was eager and ambitious to get a good result in the next day's race.

Best time - Fabian Cojocariu

The third fastest driver in the CFMOTO Cup is Fabian Cojocariu (17 years old, Bucharest), who managed after 27 laps to obtain a Best Time of 1: 49.492. Fabian is in his second participation in an official competition, after making his CFMOTO Cup debut last year at the Navak stage in Serbia.

On the 4th place after the first day's training is the youngest driver in the competition: Ionut Purdea (13 years old, Dej). Ionut is the younger brother of Luca Purdea, who this year competes in the Stock600 class. After a total of 22 laps, Ionut managed to get a time of 1: 52.811, at his first official start on a high speed circuit.

Gabriel Ismana (18 years old, Vatra Dornei) has not yet found the rhythm to go here in Serres, despite the fact that in 2021 he proved to be one of the fastest drivers of the Junior Racing School program. Given that it has been quite a long time since his last official training, the start is a bit more difficult, so after 29 laps his best time is 1: 54.682.

The 5 CFMOTO Cup riders will compete tomorrow in the same race with the Supersport300 Class drivers, the race will be broadcast live (via mobile phone) on the official Facebook page of the ACSRU Racing team, on April 9, starting at 2:15 p.m. .
