CFMOTO CUP - NAVAK Circuit - DAY 1

The CFMOTO Cup has arrived in Serbia, at the Navak circuit. Today, the riders followed the registration formalities

10 juniors at the CFMOTO Cup START

A total of 10 juniors will start tomorrow in the CFMOTO Cup, the 3rd stage. After a first training session in the morning, at noon they will participate in the qualifying session. The official race starts the second part of the day, the drivers will go through a total of 6 lap laps. The starting grid also consists of beginner drivers but also some drivers who have a special history with CFMOTO 300SR:

Cristian Radu (16 years, Constanta)
Fabian Cojocariu (17 years, Bucuresti)
Mihai Toma (17 years, Buzau)
Vlad Chivu (18 years, Buzau)
Valentin Polexici (18 years, Ploiesti)
Luca Purdea (18 years, Dej)
Razvan Ciocan (19 years, Buzau)
Codrut Borcea (19 years, Buzau)

Four of the 10 pilots are at the first official participation on the circuit. Rares Matei comes after a week of intense training in Targu Secuiesc, the period in which he got used to the 300SR motorcycle:

"When I get into a sport (I also practiced kickboxing) I am very serious and very focused, I want to go as high as possible. I can't say I have emotions for tomorrow, I have confidence in myself. My goal this weekend is to make progress."

Three of the drivers on the starting grid are a little more experienced: Vlad Chivu won the first podium in history with a CFMOTO 300SR model in 2020, Valentin Polexici is the champion of the CFMOTO Cup in 2021, and Luca Purdea is a graduate of the Junior Racing School program - which uses only 300SR motorcycles.

Speaking to Valentin Polexici about the weekend event, he mentioned:

"It was a pleasant surprise for me to be invited to compete in the 300SR this weekend. This year I switched to the Stock600 class, but I looked forward to my colleagues they ran in the CFMOTO Cup in Greece. They have made great progress this year, I think we will have a thrilling race tomorrow! "
