CFMOTO CUP 2022 has it's champion!

Difficult weather

A weekend full of events! 10 Romanian riders participated this weekend in Navak, Serbia, at the last stage of the CFMOTO CUP.

The first day, unfortunately, rained torrentially, and at the scheduled time for the cup stage, the boys could not go out on the circuit.

On Sunday, however, the weather cooperated with them, and the sun brought a smile on the faces of the CFMOTO CUP riders. It was an "all or nothing" day and they really gave it all. There were serious battles at the top of the ranking.

The final podium of the CFMOTO CUP looks like this:

1st place - Fabian Cojocariu
2nd place - Ionut Purdea
3rd place - Cristian Radu

Cristian Radu, CFMOTO CUP champion:

"This competitive year was full of surprises for me, I didn't expect to win the first stage organized in Serres (Greece), let alone the CFMOTO CUP. I had a lot of fun with the team and I hope I will have the same results in the top supersport class. Thanks to CFMOTO, my sponsors and family who supported me both financially and morally. Without them I would not have been able to get here".

FABIAN COJOCARIU, A CFMOTO CUP vice-champion:

"This year was great. Full of both good and bad experiences, but you can't change that, after all, that's how racing is. The most beautiful moment this year was the second race of the first stage from Navak (Serbia). After I came determined to win, the first race was thrilling. I didn't manage to overtake Cristian, being in his wheel the whole race. The second race, nothing stopped me. The most unpleasant moment this year is the second stage from Serres (Greece). I hadn't even left for the stage and I was demoralized, I had an accident on the street. On the evening of the accident, I was determined to give up everything. When I arrived, I couldn't even put the jumpsuit on at the first entrance, my hands were hard to move. We had no expectations from that stage, I just wanted to walk and not fall. We finished the first race on two. With good and bad, the cfmoto cup was extraordinary and I recommend everyone to try it, they have nothing to lose! The emotion is at the start and the excitement from the first turn, you can't compare it to anything else!"

IONUT PURDEA, THIRD PLACE OF CFMOTO CUP:

"I consider this year one of sacrifice. My goal for this competitive year was to accumulate as much experience as possible to put it into practice in the future. Regarding the last race, I think that the training paid off. I started from the fourth position, managing in the first corner to advance two positions and keep the second position until the end".
